This week was yet another week where athletes wearing the Q-Collar shined in the biggest moments across sports. Check out some of their highlights below.
National Football League:
- Dallas Cowboys Running Back Tony Pollard rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on 20 attempts and caught 3 passes for 15 yards in the Cowboys’ 41-35 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. made a team-high 8 tackles including a sack and 2 tackles-for-loss, 3 pass deflections, and a game-sealing interception in the Buccaneers’ 21-18 win over the Carolina Panthers. For his performance, Winfield Jr. was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week. Winfield Jr.’s teammate, Wide Receiver Chris Godwin, rushed for a 19-yard touchdown in his sole carry in the win.
- San Francisco 49ers Wide Receiver Jauan Jennings caught 3 passes for 44 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers’ 42-19 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
- Indianapolis Colts Running Back Zack Moss rushed for 51 yards on 19 attempts in the Colts’ 31-28 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Moss’ teammate, Linebacker Segun Olubi, made 2 tackles and recovered a fumble in the loss.
- Cleveland Browns Safety Juan Thornhill was Collared Up for the first time, making a team-high 7 tackles in the Browns’ 36-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
- Green Bay Packers Running Back Patrick Taylor rushed for 29 yards, including this 24-yard pick-up, on 2 attempts in the Packers’ 27-19 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
- On the opposition, Kansas City Chiefs Linebacker Drue Tranquill made 2 tackles in the loss.
- Chicago Bears Running Back Khalil Herbert rushed for 24 yards on 6 attempts and caught 2 passes for 14 yards in the Bears’ 12-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Herbert’s teammates, Running Back Travis Homer and Fullback Khari Blasingame, each record 1 special teams tackle apiece in the win.
- On the other side, Minnesota Vikings Cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. made 6 tackles, including this stop, and recorded 1 pass deflection in the loss.
- Detroit Lions Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez made 4 tackles in the Lions’ 33-28 victory over the New Orleans Saints.
- On the opposition, New Orleans Saints Linebacker Ty Summers made 1 tackle in the loss.
- Atlanta Falcons Fullback Keith Smith made 2 tackles in the Falcons’ 13-8 victory over the New York Jets.
- Houston Texans Fullback Andrew Beck caught 1 pass for 5 yards in the Texans’ 22-17 win over the Denver Broncos.
NCAA Football:
- Tulane University Quarterback Michael Pratt completed 21 of 36 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown and rushed for an additional touchdown in the Green Wave’s 26-14 loss to SMU in the 2023 American Athletic Conference Championship Game. Tulane earned a birth to the 2023 Military Bowl against Virginia Tech on December 27th.
- University of Toledo Safety Maxen Hook made 9 tackles and recorded 1 pass deflection in the Rockets’ 23-14 loss to Miami (OH) University in the 2023 MAC Championship Game. Toledo earned a birth to the 2023 Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl against the University of Wyoming on December 30th.
NCAA Ice Hockey:
- UMASS-Amherst Defenseman Elliott McDermott logged his first assist of the season in the Minutemen’s 2-1 overtime loss to the University of Vermont.
