Q-Collar Week in Review (8/5/24) - Q30

This week was yet another week loaded with high-impact performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below.

National Football League:

  • Chicago Bears Running Back Khalil Herbert rushed for 35 yards on 4 carries in the Bears’ 21-17 victory over the Houston Texans in the 2024 Hall of Fame Game.

Premier Lacrosse League:

  • Denver Outlaws Attackman Brennan O’Neill scored 2 goals (#1, #2) and logged 2 assists in the Outlaws’ 18-5 victory over the California Redwoods.
  • On the opposition, California Redwoods Attackman Rob Pannell netted 2 goals (#1, #2) in the Redwoods’ 18-5 loss to the Denver Outlaws. With his performance, Pannell moved into 4th all-time in career goals and 3rd all-time in career one-point goals scored. Pannell’s teammate, Midfielder Nakeie Montgomery, also scored a goal in the loss.
  • Philadelphia Waterdogs Attackman Michael Sowers scored 2 goals (#1, #2) in the Waterdogs’ 12-6 loss to the Maryland Whipsnakes. Sowers’ teammates, Attackman Kieran McArdle and Short Stick Defensive Midfielder Jake Richard, logged 2 assists and 1 assist respectively in the loss.
  • Carolina Chaos Defenseman Jack Rowlett caused 3 turnovers, including this stick check, and recovered 2 ground balls in the Chaos’ 15-14 victory over the Utah Archers.
  • On the opposition, Utah Archers Faceoff Specialist Mike Sisselberger went 23 for 32 on faceoff attempts and recovered 14 ground balls in the Archers’ 15-14 loss to the Carolina Chaos. Sisselberger’s teammate, Goaltender Brett Dobson, made 14 saves in the loss.

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse scored a goal in the Earthquakes’ 2-1 loss to the LA Galaxy in the Group Stage of the 2024 Leagues Cup.
  • FC Dallas Defender Omar Gonzalez started and contributed to FC Dallas’ defensive efforts in their 2-0 loss to FC Juárez in the Group Stage of the 2024 Leagues Cup.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Angel City FC Defender Megan Reid started and played all 90 minutes of Angel City’s 0 (5)-0 (3) victory in penalty kicks over the San Diego Wave in the 2024 NWSL X Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup. Reid’s teammate, Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez, subbed-in off the bench and scored a goal in penalty kicks in the win.
  • Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and contributed to Bay FC’s defensive efforts in their 2-1 win over Club América in the 2024 NWSL X Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup.
  • Portland Thorns FC Defender Meghan Klingenberg subbed-in off the bench and contributed to Portland’s defensive efforts in their 1-0 victory over Seattle Reign FC in the 2024 NWSL X Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup.

MILB Baseball:

  • Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 5 for 21 with 2 doubles, including this RBI double, and 1 run batted in across the six games he appeared in, all against the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals AAA affiliate).
