This week was full of elite performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below:

Premier Lacrosse League:

  • Redwoods Midfielder Nakeie Montgomery scored 2 goals (#1, #2) and caused a turnover in the Redwoods’ 11-10 overtime win over the Chrome. Montgomery’s teammate, Attackman Rob Pannell, notched the game-winning assist.
  • On the other side, Chrome Defenseman Jesse Bernhardt notched an assist, caused 4 turnovers and recovered 2 ground balls in the loss.
  • Cannons Attackman Marcus Holman scored a goal in the Cannons’ 14-13 victory over the Atlas.
  • On the other side, Atlas Defenseman Tucker Durkin caused 1 turnover and recovered 2 ground balls in the loss. Durkin’s teammate, Short Stick Defensive Midfielder Jake Richard, also caused 1 turnover.
  • Chaos Defenseman Jack Rowlett caused 1 turnover and recovered 1 ground ball in the Chaos’ 13-8 loss to the Waterdogs. Rowlett’s teammate, Defenseman Will Bowen, recovered 4 ground balls in the loss.

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse notched an assist in their 1-0 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Portland Thorns FC Defenders Meghan Klingenberg and Emily Menges both started and played all 90 minutes of the Thorn’s 2-1 victory over the North Carolina Courage. Their teammate, Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez, also started for the Thorns. 
  • OL Reign Midfielder Quinn started and contributed to OL Reign’s efforts in their 1-0 loss to the Kansas City Current.

NCAA Women’s Soccer:

  • Marquette University Goalkeeper Mikki Easter made 9 saves, including this incredible diving stop, and allowed 4 goals across the Golden Eagles’ two games, a 4-0 loss to Northwestern University and a 1-0 victory over the University of Colorado.

MILB Baseball:

  • Montgomery Biscuits (Tampa Bay Rays AA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 2 for 14 with 2 runs batted in across the four games he appeared in, all against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (Miami Marlins AA Affiliate).
