This week saw the end of the PLL’s regular season and plenty of soccer action. Check some of the top performers wearing the Q-Collar below:
Premier Lacrosse League:
- Waterdogs Attackman Michael Sowers had a goal and 2 assists in the team’s 14-13 victory over the Archers.
- Atlas Defenseman caused 1 turnover and recovered a ground ball in his team’s 7-12 loss to the Redwoods.
- For the Redwoods, Rob Pannell had 2 goals, Jules Heningburg had 1 goal and 1 assist, and Nakeie Montgomery tallied a goal as well.
- Cannons Attackman Marcus Holman continued his monster season with 4 goals and 3 assists to close out the regular season in his team’s 15-11 victory over the Whipsnakes.
- Chaos Defenseman Will Bowen ended his regular season strong with 2 caused turnovers and 3 ground balls. He was aided by Jack Rowlett, a Defender of the Year finalist, who had 2 caused turnovers and 2 ground balls of his own in the 13-7 victory over the Chrome.
- For the Chrome, Defenseman Jesse Bernhardt’s season ended with another performance where he was a bright spot. He recorded 4 caused turnovers and 5 ground balls.
MLS Soccer:
- San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse played 67 minutes in the team’s 0-3 defeat to Sporting Kansas City.
- New England Revolution Center Back Omar Gonzalez played all 90 minutes of the team’s 0-1 lose to CF Montreal.
NWSL Soccer:
- Portland Thorns FC Defenders Meghan Klingenberg and Emily Menges both started and played all 90 minutes of the Thorn’s 1-1 draw with the Washington Spirit. Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez, also started for the Thorns.
- Megan Reid played all 90 minutes and helped Angel City FC in their 2-1 victory over OL Reign.
- For the OL Reign, Midfielder Quinn started and played 62 minutes.
NCAA Women’s Soccer:
- Marquette University Goalkeeper Mikki Easter made 8 saves and got the clean sheet, helping her team to a 0-0 draw with Denver.
MILB Baseball:
- Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 2 for 9 with a home run and 2 runs batted in his first two games at the AAA level after getting promoted. Congrats, Logan!
