This week was another week loaded with exciting performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below:

PLL Lacrosse:

  • Cannons Attackman Marcus Holman scored 4 goals, including these three from deep (#1, #2, #3,), and assisted on another goal in the Cannons’ 14-13 win over the Chrome.
  • Redwoods Attackman Rob Pannell scored 2 goals, including this acrobatic one-handed finish, and logged an assist in the Redwoods’ 18-11 loss to the Whipsnakes. Pannell’s teammate, Midfielder Jules Heningburg, also scored a goal of his own in the loss.
  • Waterdogs Attackman Michael Sowers scored a goal and logged 2 assists in the Waterdogs’ 19-18 victory over the Atlas.
  • On the opposition, Atlas Defenseman Tucker Durkin caused 1 turnover and recovered 2 ground balls in the loss. Durkin’s teammate, Short Stick Defensive Midfielder Jake Richard, recovered 1 ground ball.
  • Chaos Defensemen Will Bowen caused 1 turnover and recovered 3 ground balls in the Chaos’ 15-10 win over the Archers. Bowen’s teammate, Defenseman Jack Rowlett, recovered 1 ground ball in the win.

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse started and played all 90 minutes of the Earthquakes’ 0-0 draw with the Portland Timbers.
  • New England Revolution Defender Omar Gonzalez subbed-in and played the second half of the Revolution’s 3-1 victory over Orlando City SC.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Portland Thorns FC Defenders Meghan Klingenberg and Emily Menges both started and contributed to the Thorns’ 3-2 victory over the Chicago Red Stars.

MILB Baseball:

  • Montgomery Biscuits (Tampa Bay Rays AA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 7 for 17 with a double, 3 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored in the 5 games Driscoll appeared in, all against the Biloxi Shuckers (Milwaukee Brewers AA Affiliate).

  • The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal ran a feature article on Texas Tech University Tight End Mason Tharp, who missed the final three games of the 2022 season due to a concussion, on how he is using the Q-Collar to help protect his brain on the field in the upcoming season.
