This week saw some hardware being won by a few Q-Collar athletes! Check out some of their highlights below:
National Football League:
- Cowboys Running Back Tony Pollard had a monster day in the Cowboys’ 49-29 win over the Chicago Bears, rushing for 131 yards on 14 attempts with 3 touchdowns! (#1, #2 & #3)
- Arizona Cardinals Defensive Back Budda Baker made a team-high 10 tackles in the Cardinals’ 34-26 loss to the Vikings. Baker’s teammate, Linebacker Isaiah Simmonds, made 5 tackles including a sack resulting in a forced fumble.
- Carolina Panthers Linebacker Shaq Thompson made a team-high 13 tackles, including a tackle-for-loss, in the Panthers’ 37-34 overtime loss to the Falcons.
- Los Angeles Rams Safety Taylor Rapp made 7 tackles in the Rams’ 31-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
- Baltimore Ravens Linebacker A.J. Klein made 4 tackles, including a tackle-for-loss, in the Ravens’ 27-22 victory over the Buccaneers.
- Eagles Running Back Boston Scott rushed for 21 yards on 7 carries in the Eagles’ 35-13 win over the Steelers.
- Green Bay Packers Safety Adrian Amos made 5 tackles in the Packers’ 27-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills. His teammate, Tight End Josiah Deguara, made 1 catch for 5 yards.
- Washington Commanders Defensive End Casey Toohill recovered a fumble in the Commanders' 17-16 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
NCAA Football:
- Southern Methodist University Running Back Tyler Lavine rushed for 72 yards on 17 carries and 3 touchdowns! Check these two (#1 & #2) out! Lavine’s teammate, Defensive End Je’Lin Samuels, recorded one tackle, a sack, in the Mustangs 45-34 victory over the University of Tulsa.
- University of South Carolina Wide Receiver Xavier Legette caught 2 passes for 23 yards in the Gamecocks’ 23-10 loss to the University of Missouri.
- Boston College Linebacker Vinny DePalma made 4 tackles in the Eagles’ 13-3 loss to UCONN. BC Wide Receiver Jaelen Gill, made 2 catches for 19 yards.
- Auburn University Linebacker Wesley Steiner made 4 tackles in the Tigers’ 41-27 loss to the University of Arkansas.
- Baylor Tight End Ben Sims caught 1 pass for 25 yards in the victory over Texas Tech.
Pro Soccer:
- Defenders Meghan Klingenberg and Emily Menges, as well as Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez, along with the rest of the Portland Thorns won the NWSL Championship on Saturday, defeating the Kansas City Current 2-0! Congrats on an amazing season, Thorns!
- CF Monterrey Goalkeeper Alejandra Godinez shut-out Pumas UNAM, leading Monterrey to a 4-0 victory last Monday!
NCAA Soccer:
- University of Maryland Defenders Chris Rindov and Will Kulvik, as well as Midfielder Malcolm Johnston, along with the rest of the Terps won the Big 10 Conference Regular-Season Title!
Hockey:
- University of Massachusetts Defenseman Elliott McDermott was collared-up in both of the Minutemen’s games over the weekend, a 3-2 overtime win and a 2-1 overtime loss against Merrimack University.
Q-Collar in the News:
- Q30 Innovations was awarded a $2.8 million contract by the US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity to aid in the fight against traumatic brain injury in the military.
- The Q-Collar was discussed on CNN & NewsNation as a solution to help protect athletes’ brains during contact sports.
- Q30 Athletes Tulane University Quarterback Michael Pratt and University of Texas Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown were interviewed by The Action Network to discuss why they wear the Q-Collar.
- Washington Commanders Running Back J.D. McKissic was interviewed on SB Nation’s "Hog's Haven" podcast sharing why he feels helping protect his brain is important now and for the future.
