Q-Collar Week in Review (3/25/24) - Q30

This week was yet another week full of exciting performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below.

NCAA Men’s Lacrosse:

  • University of Albany Attackman Silas Richmond scored 11 total goals across the Great Danes’ two games this week, a 16-10 loss to the University of Virginia in which Richmond netted 7 goals, and a 13-11 victory over the University of Vermont where Richmond logged 4 additional goals. Richmond also logged 1 assist across the two games. Richmond’s teammate, Midfielder Chris Crapanzano, scored 1 goal in the Great Danes’ loss to the University of Virginia.
  • Princeton University Attackman Nate Kibiri scored 5 goals and logged 1 assist in the Tigers’ 14-11 victory over Harvard University. Kibiri’s teammate, Attackman Colin Burns, netted 1 goal in the win.
  • Duke University Attackman Brennan O’Neill netted 4 total goals (#1, #2. #3, #4) and logged 1 assist across the Blue Devils’ two games this week, a 10-4 loss to Syracuse University and a 11-7 win over the University of Denver.
  • University of Utah Attackman Ryan Stines scored 4 total goals, including this snipe from deep, across the Utes’ two games, a 12-11 loss to Air Force and a 21-9 win over Detroit Mercy.
  • University of North Carolina Attackman Owen Duffy scored 1 goal and logged 2 assists in the Tar Heels’ 12-11 loss to High Point University.
  • UPENN Midfielder James Shipley recorded 1 total assist across the Quakers’ two games, a 12-7 loss to St. Joseph’s University and an 11-8 victory over Dartmouth University.

NCAA Women’s Lacrosse:

  • University of Maryland Goalkeeper Emily Sterling made 17 total saves, including this stop, across the Terps’ two games this week, a pair of victories over Georgetown University and Rutgers University. Sterling’s teammate, Midfielder Shaylan Ahearn, recorded 15 total draw controls across the two games.
  • Kent State University Midfielder Emily Bond scored 1 total goal and logged 2 total assists across the Golden Flashes’ two games, a pair of losses to the University of Pittsburgh and Robert Morris University.
  • University of Florida Goalkeeper Georgia Hoey made 4 total saves across the Gators’ two games this week, a pair of wins against Old Dominion University and Furman University.

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse scored a goal, his first of the season, in the Earthquakes’ 3-2 victory over Seattle Sounders FC.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and played all 90 mins of their 2-1 loss to the Washington Spirit.

South American U-17 Women’s Soccer Championship:

  • Team Brazil Striker Juliana Harris scored 2 goals in Team Brazil’s 4-1 victory over Colombia in the Group Stage Round of the South American U-17 Women’s Soccer Championship.

NCAA Ice Hockey:

  • UMASS-Amherst Defenseman Elliott McDermott blocked 1 shot in the Minutemen’s 8-1 loss to Boston College in the Hockey East Tournament Semi-Finals. The Minutemen earned a spot in the 2024 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament, and will face the University of Denver in the First Round on Thursday, March 28th at 2:00 P.M.
