Q-Collar Week in Review (4/15/24) - Q30

This week was loaded with high-impact performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below.

NCAA Men’s Lacrosse:

  • UPENN Attackman Cam Rubin scored 6 goals (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6) and logged 2 assists in the Quakers’ 15-12 victory over Harvard University. Rubin’s teammate, Midfielder James Shipley, tallied 1 assist in the win.
  • For Harvard, Attackman John Aurandt IV scored a goal in the Crimson’s 15-12 loss to UPENN.
  • Duke University Attackman Brennan O’Neill scored 4 goals (#1, #2, #3, #4) and tallied 1 assist in the Blue Devils’ 18-12 victory over the University of Virginia.
  • Notre Dame Attackman Pat Kavanagh scored 2 goals, including this leaping finish, and logged 2 assists in the Fighting Irish’s 18-17 win over Cornell University. In the win, Kavanagh netted his 100th career goal, making him the 3rd person in program history to record 100 career goals and 100 career assists.
  • On the other side, Cornell University Attackman Ryan Goldstein netted a hat-trick, which included these two scores (#1, #2), and recorded 3 assists in the Big Red’s 18-17 loss to Notre Dame.
  • University of North Carolina Attackman Owen Duffy recorded a hat-trick and logged 2 assists in the Tar Heels’ 10-9 loss to Syracuse University.
  • University of Utah Attackman Ryan Stines netted 8 total goals, including these 5 scored (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5) across the Utes’ two games this week, a pair of victories over Lindenwood University and Mercer University.
  • Princeton University Attackman Colin Burns scored 2 goals and recorded an assist in the Tigers’ 13-12 loss to Brown University. Burns’ teammate, Attackman Nate Kabiri, logged 4 assists in the loss.

NCAA Women’s Lacrosse:

  • University of Maryland Goalkeeper Emily Sterling made 17 total saves, including this snag, across the Terps’ two games this week, a win over Johns Hopkins University and a loss to Penn State University. Sterling’s teammate, Midfielder Shaylan Ahearn, recorded 4 total draw controls across the two contests.
  • Syracuse University Defender Katie Goodale recovered 4 ground balls and logged 4 draw controls in the Orange’s 15-6 victory over Clemson University. With the win, Syracuse became the 2024 ACC Regular Season Champions.

MLS Soccer:

  • FC Dallas Defender Omar Gonzalez started and played all 90 minutes of their 0-0 draw against Seattle Sounders FC.
  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse started and contributed to the Earthquakes’ offensive efforts in their 3-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Angel City FC Defender Megan Reid and Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez both started and contributed to Angel City’s offensive and defensive efforts in their 1-0 victory over the Chicago Red Stars.
  • Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and played all 90 minutes of Bay FC’s 3-2 win over Seattle Reign FC.

MLB Baseball:

  • San Francisco Giants Catcher Patrick Bailey went 4 for 14 at the plate with 2 doubles and 1 run batted in across the 4 games he appeared in, 2 against the Washington Nationals and 2 against the Tampa Bay Rays. Bailey also caught one runner stealing.

MILB Baseball:

  • Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 6 for 17 with a home run, 3 doubles including these two (#1, #2), a triple, and 4 runs batted in across the 4 games he appeared in, all against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Philadelphia Phillies AAA Affiliate).
