This week featured high-impact performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below.

NCAA Men’s Lacrosse:

  • Notre Dame Attackman Pat Kavanagh scored 2 goals (#1 & #2) and logged 4 assists in the Fighting Irish’s 14-6 victory over the University of North Carolina. For his performance this season, Kavanagh was named a Tewaaraton Award nominee.
  • Princeton University Attackman Nate Kabiri scored 2 goals, including this snipe through a screen, and recorded 3 assists in the Tigers’ 15-10 win over UPENN. Kabiri’s teammate, Attackman Colin Burns, netted 1 goal and tallied 1 assist. With Burns’ goal, Kabiri and Burns become the 2nd pair of Freshman in program history to score 20 goals in their respective rookie seasons.
  • Cornell University Attackman Ryan Goldstein scored 2 goals in the Big Red’s 15-8 win over Harvard University.
  • University of Albany Attackman Silas Richmond scored 2 total goals and logged 5 total assists across the Great Danes’ two matchups this week, a 17-10 loss to Yale University and a 14-8 victory over Merrimack College.
  • University of Utah Attackman Ryan Stines scored 1 goal and recorded 3 assists in the Utes’ 16-7 victory over Cleveland State University.
  • University of Michigan Defenseman Cathal Roberts recovered 1 ground ball and caused 2 turnovers in the Wolverines’ 13-12 victory over The Ohio State University.
  • University of Maryland Defenseman Ajax Zappitello recovered 1 ground ball in the Terps’ 7-5 loss to Johns Hopkins University.

NCAA Women’s Lacrosse:

  • University of Maryland Midfielder Shaylan Ahearn recovered 1 ground balls and logged 8 draw controls in the Terps’ 16-12 victory over Princeton University. Ahearn’s teammate, Goalkeeper Emily Sterling, made 12 saves, including this stop on the doorstep, in the win. For her performance this year, Sterling was named a Tewaaraton Award nominee.
  • Syracuse University Defender Katie Goodale recovered 2 ground balls, caused 2 turnovers and logged 2 draw controls in the Orange’s 11-10 loss to Boston College.

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse scored a goal in the Earthquakes’ 4-3 loss to the LA Galaxy.
  • FC Dallas Defender Omar Gonzalez started and contributed to FC Dallas’ defensive efforts in their 2-1 loss to the Colorado Rapids.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Portland Thorns FC Defender Meghan Klingenberg subbed-into and logged an assist in Portland’s 4-1 victory over the Houston Dash.
  • Angel City FC Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez and Defender Megan Reid both started and played all 90 minutes of Angel City FC’s 2-1 victory over the North Carolina Courage.
  • Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and played all 90 minutes of Bay FC’s 5-2 loss to the Kansas City Current.

MLB Baseball:

  • San Francisco Giants Catcher Patrick Bailey went 6 for 17 with a home run, 3 doubles and 3 runs batted in at the plate in the 6 games he appeared in this week, 3 against the Miami Marlins and 3 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Behind the plate, Bailey caught a runner stealing.

MILB Baseball:

  • Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 2 for 12 with 2 runs batted in across the 4 games he appeared in this week, all against the Worcester Red Sox (Boston Red Sox AAA Affiliate).
