This week saw the Q-Collar on some of the top performing athletes across sports. Check out some of their highlights below.
Premier Lacrosse League:
- Philadelphia Waterdogs Attackman Kieran McArdle netted 6 total goals, which included these five scores (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5), and recorded 3 assists, including this no-look feed, across the Waterdogs’ two games this weekend, a pair of losses to the Boston Cannons and the Maryland Whipsnakes. McArdle’s fellow Attackman, Michael Sowers, also scored 6 total goals (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6) and logged 5 total assists across the Waterdogs’ two matchups. Midfielder Zach Currier netted a hat-trick (#1, #2, #3), and logged two assists, including this set-up on the doorstep, in the Waterdogs’ 12-11 overtime loss to the Maryland Whipsnakes. Midfielder Connor Kelly also scored 2 total goals (#1, #2) across the two contests.
- California Redwoods Attackman Rob Pannell scored 2 goals, including this one-handed finish, and logged an assist in the Redwoods’ 20-15 loss to the New York Atlas.
- For the New York Atlas, Midfielder Bryan Costabile tallied 2 assists in the win.
- Boston Cannons Attackman Marcus Holman scored a goal in the Cannons’ 12-11 overtime win over the Philadelphia Waterdogs. Holman’s teammate, Attackman Pat Kavanagh, also scored a goal in the win.
- Carolina Chaos Defenseman Jack Rowlett recorded 3 caused turnovers, which included this over-the-head stick check, and recovered 2 ground balls in the Chaos’ 9-7 loss to the Utah Archers. Rowlett’s teammate, Attackman Jules Heningburg, tallied an assist in the loss. Defenseman Will Bowen recovered 1 ground ball.
- Utah Archers Goaltender Brett Dobson made 15 saves to earn the win. Dobson’s teammate, Faceoff Specialist Mike Sisselberger, went 8 for 19 on faceoff attempts and recovered 5 ground balls.
MLS Soccer:
- FC Dallas Defender Omar Gonzalez started and played all 90 minutes of FC Dallas’ 2-0 victory over St. Louis City SC.
- San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse started and played all 90 minutes of the Earthquakes’ 4-2 loss to FC Cincinnati.
NWSL Soccer:
- Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and played all 90 minutes of Bay FC’s 1-0 loss to Utah Royals FC.
- Angel City FC Defender Megan Reid subbed-in and contributed to Angel City’s defensive efforts in their 0-0 draw against the Houston Dash.
- Portland Thorns FC Defender Meghan Klingenberg subbed-in and contributed to Angel City’s defensive efforts in their 0-0 draw against Seattle Reign FC.
MILB Baseball:
- Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 2 for 12 with a solo home run across the three games he appeared in, all against the Charlotte Knights (Chicago White Sox AAA Affiliate).
