This week saw a break from PLL action, but some key soccer milestones for athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below.
MLS Soccer:
- San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse started and played the first half of San Jose’s 6-2 loss to LAFC.
- FC Dallas Defender Omar Gonzalez subbed-in and contributed to FC Dallas’ defensive efforts in their 3-2 loss to Seattle Sounders FC.
NWSL Soccer:
- Angel City FC Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez started both of Angel City FC’s matches this week, a 3-2 victory over Racing Louisville FC and a 1-0 loss to Bay FC. In the victory over Racing Louisville FC, Rodriguez scored a goal, her first with Angel City FC. Rodriguez’s teammate, Defender Megan Reid, started and played all 90 minutes of both matches.
- Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and played all 90 minutes of Bay FC’s 1-0 victory over Angel City FC. During the match, Menges became the 9th player in NWSL history to play over 15,000 career minutes
- Portland Thorns FC Midfielder Meghan Klingenberg started and contributed to the Thorns’ defensive efforts in their 4-1 loss to the Kansas City Current.
MILB Baseball:
- Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 4 for 18 with 2 home runs (#1, #2) and 5 RBI’s across the 4 games he appeared in, all against the Nashville Sounds (Milwaukee Brewers AAA Affiliate).
