Q-Collar Week in Review (7/8/24) - Q30

This week, athletes wearing the Q-Collar shined in the biggest moments across sports. Check out some of their highlights below.

Premier Lacrosse League:

  • Philadelphia Waterdogs Attackman Kieran McArdle scored 4 goals, including the 290th of his professional career, which moved him to 6th all-time in goals scored, in the Waterdogs’ 14-10 loss to the Boston Cannons. Attackman Michael Sowers, netted a hat-trick, which included the game's first goal and this diving finish, and tallied 2 assists. Midfielder Connor Kelly, scored a goal and logged an assist in the contest.
  • Boston Cannons Attackman Marcus Holman netted 7 total goals, including these six scores (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6) across the Cannons’ two contests, a 9-7 loss to the California Redwoods and a 14-10 victory over the Philadelphia Waterdogs. This weekend, Holman took sole possession of second place all-time in career one-point goals scored.
  • Utah Archers Goaltender Brett Dobson made 15 saves, including this acrobatic stop, recovered 3 ground balls, and picked up the win in the Archers’ 16-11 victory over the Maryland Whipsnakes. Dobson’s teammate, Faceoff Specialist Mike Sisselberger went 11 for 28 on faceoff attempts and recovered 5 ground balls in the win.
  • California Redwoods Attackman Rob Pannell scored a goal and logged 2 assists in the Redwoods’ 9-7 win over the Boston Cannons. Pannell’s teammate, Midfielder Nakeie Montgomery, recovered 1 ground ball in the win.
  • New York Atlas Midfielder Bryan Costabile scored a goal and logged 3 assists in the Atlas’ 17-4 win over the Denver Outlaws.

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse started and contributed to the Earthquakes’ offensive efforts in their 1-0 victory over Chicago Fire FC.
  • FC Dallas Defender Omar Gonzalez started in their 3-2 loss to Sporting Kansas City.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Angel City FC Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez started and contributed to Angel City’s offensive and defensive efforts in their 2-1 loss to Gotham FC. Last week, Rodriguez logged her 10,000th minute of NWSL regular season playing time. This week, Rodriguez was called up by the Costa Rican National Team to play in the upcoming FIFA window against the United States on July 16th.
  • Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and played all 90 minutes of Bay FC’s 3-0 loss to the Washington Spirit.

MILB Baseball:

  • Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 5 for 17 with 3 doubles, including these two (#1, #2), 2 runs batted in, and 3 runs scored across the 4 games he appeared in, all against the Norfolk Tides (Baltimore Orioles AAA Affiliate).
