With the kickoff of the 2025 NCAA Football season and the Semifinals of the 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Playoffs, athletes wearing the Q-Collar produced noteworthy performances across the sports landscape’s biggest matchups.
NCAA Football:
- University of Colorado Safety Carter Stoutmire made 8 tackles and logged 1 pass breakup in the Buffaloes’ 27-20 loss to Georgia Tech.
- Middle Tennessee State University Linebacker Parker Hughes made a team-high 9 tackles in the Blue Raiders’ 34-14 loss to Austin Peay University. Hughes’ fellow Linebacker, Reggie Johnson, logged 4 tackles and .5 sacks in the loss. Running Back Jakail Middlebrook rushed for 53 yards on 11 attempts and caught 2 passes for 21 yards. Defensive End Anthony Bynum recorded 6 tackles and .5 tackles-for-loss.
- University of Wisconsin Safety Austin Brown made 1 tackle and logged 1 pass breakup in the Badgers’ 17-0 win over Miami University (Ohio).
Premier Lacrosse League:
- Denver Outlaws Attackman Brennan O’Neill scored 3 one-point goals (#1, #2, #3) and one two-point goal to go along with 1 assist in the Outlaws’ 12-7 victory over the California Redwoods in the Semifinals of the 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Playoffs. Faceoff Special Luke Wierman went 11 for 19 on faceoffs and logged 1 caused turnover as well as 8 recovered ground balls in the win. Defenseman Jesse Bernhardt added 1 caused turnover and 1 recovered ground ball.
- Philadelphia Waterdogs Attackman Michael Sowers scored 2 goals (#1, #2) in the Waterdogs’ 13-11 loss to the New York Atlas in the Semifinals of the 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Playoffs. Attackman Kieran McArdle added 2 assists, and Midfielder Connor Kelly logged 1 assist in the loss. Defenseman Kenny Brower recorded 1 caused turnover and recovered 1 ground ball.
- On the opposition, New York Atlas Midfielder Bryan Costabile recovered 1 ground ball in the Atlas’ 13-11 win over the Philadelphia Waterdogs in the Semifinals of the 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Playoffs.
NCAA Women’s Volleyball:
- Southern Methodist University Outside Hitter Malaya Jones logged 48.5 total points, which included 44 total kills, 24 total digs and 7 blocks across the Mustang’s two matchups this week, a pair of wins over Louisiana State University and Baylor University. Jones’ performance earned her ACC Offensive Player of the Week. Outside Hitter Jadyn Livings logged 40.5 total points, including 37 total kills, across the same stretch.
- Texas A&M University Outside Hitter Kyndal Stowers logged 38.5 total points, which included 33 total kills, across the Aggies’ three contests, all wins against the University of Minnesota, Rice University and the University of Central Arkansas.
- Rice University Defensive Specialist Gaby Mansfield logged 2 total points across the Owl’s two matches, a loss to Texas A&M University and a win over the University of Central Arkansas.
