With the 2023 PLL Season kicking off, this was another week loaded with top performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below:

 PLL Lacrosse:

  • Cannons Attackman Marcus Holman netted 2 goals, including this back-door snipe, and assisted on another goal, in the Cannon’s 13-16 loss to the Archers.
  • Redwoods Attackman Rob Pannell logged 4 assists, including this set-up in the slot and this feed from behind the net, in the Redwood’s 14-13 win over the Atlas. Midfielder Nakeie Montgomery also netted 4 assists, including one on this tic-tac-toe goal, in the win. Their teammate, Midfielder Jules Heningburg, registered a goal and an assist.
  • On the opposition, Atlas captains Jake Richard and Tucker Durkin contributed in the loss.
  • Waterdogs Attackman Michael Sowers scored a goal and logged an assist in the Waterdogs’ 8-7 overtime victory on the Chaos.
  • On the other side, Chaos Defenseman Will Bowen and Jack Rowlett caused 3 turnovers and 1 turnover respectively, and then recovered 3 ground balls apiece in the loss.
  • Chrome Defenseman Jesse Bernhardt recovered 3 ground balls and caused 2 turnovers in the Chrome’s 12-11 win over the Whipsnakes. Bernhardt’s teammate, Short Stick Defensive Midfielder Mike Messenger, recovered 1 ground ball in the win.

 MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse scored a goal and played all 90 minutes of both of the Earthquakes’ matches this week, a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders and a 0-0 draw against the Colorado Rapids.
  • New England Revolution Defender Omar Gonzalez started and played all 90 minutes of their 3-3 draw against Atlanta United FC.

 NWSL Soccer:

  • Portland Thorns FC Defenders Emily Menges and Megan Klingenberg started in both Thorns’ matches this week, a pair of victories over Angel City FC and the OL Reign. Against the OL Reign, Klingenberg played all 90 minutes.
  • Angel City FC Defender Megan Reid started and played all 90 minutes in their 3-2 loss to Portland Thorns FC.

 MILB Baseball:

  • Montgomery Biscuits (Rays AA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 3 for 13 with 2 RBI’s in the 5 games he appeared in, all against the Rocket City Trash Pandas (Angels AA Affiliate).
